Speedway Season Grand Finale
Its our season grand finale! The season comes to a head with the final of all classes season points chase. After the massive nights we have seen over previous seasons this will see some big damage being dealt in our contact classes and some of the most aggressive wheel to wheel action in our open wheelers. Then we will be bringing back some teams action with the Tony Durney Stockcar teams challenge. Its on big night of action and you need to be track side before a long cold off season.

The Capital Pools & Spas Stockcars are going head to head in a brand new format bought to you by Custom Paint Works. The Eliminator will see the drivers compete over three heats for grids in the final Eliminator race with the highest on points off the front and lowest at the back. Each lap the last place car will be forced to retire leaving only the champion eliminator on the last lap. Te Rā o Waitangi
This is a free, whānau-friendly event which commemorates the signing of Te Tiriti O Waitangi. It’s also a wonderful opportunity for us to come together as New Zealanders to celebrate, remember and learn. Part of the celebrations involve a line-up of New Zealand performers, showcasing the talent we have here on our soil. As well as that, a range of food trucks, stalls and activations will become part of the day! This event, like Pasifika, is held at Waitangi Park from 12-6pm.
Te Rā o te Raukura
Te Rā o te Raukura is a whānau-oriented community cultural festival, that focusses on the positive promotion of whānau, cultural, social, educational, health and wellbeing initiatives.
Since its beginnings in 1997, Te Ra o Te Raukura has gone on to become one of the largest annual Maori Cultural event held in the Hutt Valley and Wellington region. The annual average attendance are around 16,000 people.
There are many activities on show for the whole whānau to enjoy and participate. Music entertainment from local artists, kapa haka groups and top New Zealand bands all perform for the community throughout the day. Government agencies, NGOs, Māori Community Groups and Whānau who displays a range of stalls to showcase their mahi and resources. There are also lots of fun activities for the tamariki to enjoy. Overall this is one event that brings whanau and community together.
An integral part of Te Rā also is that we are a wai-only event/ non-alcohol and in recent years have begun promoting our stance in also being plastic-free.
Te Rā o Te Raukura Limited has been delivering this event for the last 5 years, previously it was under the Rūnanga o Te Ati Awa. While they are still the same people who have run this event since 1997, they have honoured the event by having its own entity as they keep pace with the growth and success of the event each year.
On Average attendance is between 9000-15,000 (depending on the weather ALSO we are usually on at the same time as a lot of other music events).

Its Finals night Prowash Streetstocks NZ Streetstock Championship. Tonight we will crown a new national champion from the best of the best who qualified on Friday. The panel bending door to door action will be track wide and must be seen. With backing from all your favourite classes it is on night not to be missed...

Juicy Fest is back - with new cities and a massive line-up of influential R&B and hip-hop stars of the 90s and 2000s confirmed for the 2024 tour.
Headlining the 2024 Juicy Fest edition is T.I., T-Pain, The Game and Ashanti - with one more special guest headliner to be announced soon. Joining these music heavyweights and rounding out the Juicy Fest line-up will be hit-makers Trey Songz, Fabolous, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Keri Hilson, Cassie, Mase and Mario.
The R18 one-day festival is scheduled for nine shows across New Zealand and Australia in January, and will make its debut in two New Zealand cities and one Australian state next summer.
We're getting the tour started in Christchurch on January 3, before heading to Wellington (Jan 05), Tauranga (Jan 06), Auckland (Jan 07), Melbourne (Jan 12), Sydney (Jan 13), Perth (Jan 14), Canberra (Jan 19) and the Gold Coast (Jan 20).

Tē Pāte Community Space Blessing
At the end of November 2023, the Creek will have a brand new community space to use, located between the Cannons Creek shops and ‘The Cage’. Named after the pacific slit drum (common across Pacific nations), Tē Pātē has been fitted out with a kitchenette, heat pump, drinking fountain, seating and free WIFI. With an accessible ramp, deck and capacity for up to 20 people inside and more outside, it’s a great little space for small groups or individuals to come together.
Tē Pātē Community Space has been created in response to the community’s aspiration for the area. In early 2020, a group of community members approached Te Rā Nui – Eastern Porirua Development about the need for a free to use local space for rangatahi and wider community– and we happily took up the challenge.
To mark the opening of Tē Pātē Community Space there will be a blessing on Monday 27 November at 10.00 am, followed by an open day and week of activities.
So why not come down and check out the new space in your backyard?
Porirua Timebank kaitiaki group will be opening the space at different times of the day throughout the week for people and groups to drop in, see the space and kōrero over a cuppa about activities they might want to hold there.
Can’t make during the day in the open week? All good. Tē Pātē will also be open during Creekfest for anyone who may want to get away from the noise of the stage area, just sit down and have a cuppa, rest between food carts, or with tired bubs. There will also be pavement chalk available during Creekfest to draw and write to brighten up the area around the community space.
